okay so i rarely ever write yelp reviews..... honestly i never write yelp reviews - this might be my second one ever. but holy crap this place SLAPS. i don't even know where to begin. okay so i'm gonna start with the BBQ fries. you need to get these fries. they were so much more than i ever expected. crinkle fries, pulled pork, some amazing cheese, pickled jalapeños.... all topped with their amazing bbq sauce. i was amazed, blown away, bamboozled (in the best way). after this fire appetizer, we ordered a full rack of ribs (with two sides) and the smoked brisket plate (again, with two sides). AGAIN. BLOWN AWAY. THESE RIBS WERE NO JOKE. AND THE SMOKED BRISKET? UNREAL. this slab of ribs was so huge they literally brought it out on a pizza tray. my mom and brother split the ribs and we still took 1/2 of it home. they were as delicious and meaty as you could ever hope for. as for sides we got a side salad, potato salad, baked beans, and fries. and guess what? the sides slapped too. honestly i want to go back now just writing this review.
AND THEN - after all of this BOMB food, we decided to get a pizza to go to eat later on/tomorrow. now, food is never as good when you take it home and don't get the complete "fresh out of the oven" experience in the restaurant. you know what i mean? .... but this pizza was still INCREDIBLE. i don't even know all the toppings that came on it, but the flavors were no joke and worked together perfectly. we ordered "the works" pizza.
if you can't already tell, i would go here again in a heartbeat. Im gonna see what i can do about getting a second Smoke & Bricks location in southeast Michigan because we NEED it. and to top it all off our waiter, Casey, was awesome and very attentive to whatever we asked for.
Do yourself a favor, pack the family in the car and scoot yourself all the way to Smoke & Bricks ASAP
TLDR: good food. go. -

We drive by this place every day so we decided to try it. We got the beef brisket pizza, the crust was tough and not very good. Kinda pricey all so.

I tried this place after hearing about it. Definitely out of the way. I decided on a couple of pizzas to go. To my amazement, their kitchen is only capable of cooking one pizza at a time! Huh? Pizzas weren't bad, and since they were to go, one being hot and one being cold didn't matter that much.
One other thing I noticed... Most BBQ joints have a smoker "out back" or nearby running pretty much all the time, if for no other reason but to let the smokey goodness fill the air for ambiance. No smoker running here, which makes me think perhaps they are serving re-heated 'que. -

Went to eat after hiking in the area and seeing great reviews.. it was awesome!! Super nice staff!!! Brisket pizza was da.bomb!!! We also got wings, fried pickles, smoked bolgone ( staff suggestion). It was wonderful. Calkiller on tap was ice cold. Def going back our next time through

I can't say enough great things about this local family owned establishment! Fantastic food, friendly service, and just an overall great environment. The ribs were delicious and their pizza is brick oven cooked! My personal favorite pizza is The Luau and the fried pickle appetizers are amazing. I have ate there multiple times and it never disappoints! They often have live music on the weekends. A Great addition to the Rock Island area. I highly recommend anyone to give it a shot. You'll fall in love!
